Our expression of Authentic Biblical Community is found in this four-fold Ministry Plan. There is nothing magical in these words, they are simply new expressions of the very oldest ideals for the New Testament Church. This plan helps hold us accountable to the various ways our church desires to glorify God.
DISCOVERY…
Discovery is the initial stage for a person coming into the life of UnionAvenueBaptistChurch (UABC). Whether through conversion or simply changing church membership, the Discovery stage is vital to future growth and involvement at the church.
JOURNEY…
Journey is the secondary stage for members of UABC. This stage is centered on developing as a disciple (a fully devoted follower of Christ). Most members will seek to learn and continue learning through this stage on through the stages that follow.
VENTURE…
Venture is the third stage for members of UABC. This stage represents all "great commission" ministries of the church. Our charge is taken from Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1:8. Our Venture stage represents ministries to the entire world.
RENEWAL…
Renewal is the fourth stage for members of UABC. This stage is vital to the ongoing support and renewed growth of each member of the church. This stage provides for the renewing of commitment to Christ, Church and Ministry. It is designed to help the member re-discover gifts and passion for their ministry or to discover other areas of growth and involvement.
