Union Avenue Baptist Church

Are you interested in becoming part of the local church here at Union Avenue?  We would love to have you join together with us.  We believe that a gospel-centered church is an active church.  In fact, the church is to be a verb.  It is a verb in the sense that we are to be actively involved in: worshipping Christ, discipling people in the truths of the gospel, praying individually and together as a body, telling people about the hope found in the gospel as we live our lives on a daily basis, fellowshipping with one another as we journey together in the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We find these actions in Acts 2:42-47, where Luke shows us the ministry of the New Testament church in action:

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Discovery is the phase of ministry where relationships with Christ and the church are discovered and begun.  Creating a clear, unobtrusive path to the gospel, which is offensive itself.
