We believe membership in the local church is important. God did not create us to be "lone ranger" Christians, but His desire is for us to journey together with other like minded persons to do the work of the ministry. True, membership does not save someone from his or her sins. It, however, is biblical (Hebrews 10:25, "Forsake not the assembling of yourselves together. . ."), and it is the best way to grow in one's knowledge and love for Christ. Membership in the local church affords us the opportunity to exercise our spiritual gifts, hold each other accountable and worship God in Spirit and Truth.
Eph 2:19-22 "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."

This class, usually follows a Sunday morning service, and it is a great time to learn more about UABC and for you to ask any question you desire. Following the class, a New Member Interview will be arranged and completed with one/or both of our pastors. Upon satisfactorily completing the class and the interview, the prospective member is then presented to the congregation on a Sunday morning for a vote of confirmation.
